Satin is a material, originally of silk but now usually of nylon mixed with Spandex, that has a glossy surface with a very smooth texture.
Many people like satin clothes, on themselves or others, because of its appearance and feel. Clothing of satin may range from thongs and shoes to catsuits. Cross-dressers often particularly enjoy wearing satin lingerie.
