www.bondage.com is an US based BDSM community website with 830,000 users worldwide. The site has a number of sections covering forums, internet chat, erotica, and personal adverts.
It has two levels of membership: free and premium which costs $19.95 a month. Premium membership allows the user access to the erotica sections of the wibsite (photos and stories) and removes certain restrictions on using the personals section of the site. Whilst both free and premium users can create personal adverts, free users can only initiate contact with premium users; they cannot contact or be contacted by other free users. This severely limits the usefulness of the free membership aspect of the personal adverts section as free members can only contact premium members who would appear to be about 10% of the total universe.
For UK users the website Informed Consent offers a very similar set of features with a broadly similar UK coverage but without the erotica section and is completely free.
