The Sandmutopia Guardian and Dungeon Journal was a pioneer magazine devoted to BDSM. It has been described as the first ever general-interest (i.e. not exclusively gay leather) BDSM journal or magazine.
It was published from 1988-2000. Issues 1-17 (1988-1994) were produced by Desmodus, Inc., San Francisco and issues 18-39 (1995-2000) by The Utopian Network, New York.
