In a BDSM context, a houseboy is a submissive who lives with a dominant man or woman and performs, unpaid, everyday chores such as dishwashing or cleaning. He is usually required to be available to perform sexual activities for the dominant, but this is not universal. In the gay community, a houseboy is usually a younger gay male, while his master (or "host") is often older, wealthy and also gay.
The female equivalent is sometimes called an ancilla, from the Latin for "female servant".
