Violet Blue is a hardworking sex writer, editor, adult book and video reviewer and machine artist.

Violet Blue is the best-selling author and editor of ten books on sex and sexuality, all currently in print, three of which have been in Amazon.com's top ten sex and erotica categories for the past four years. She is the Assistant Editor at Fleshbot.com (Gawker Media), the sex columnist at SFist (Gothamist Media), and lectures to human sexuality students at colleges and independent teaching facilities. Background: Violet has been a professional sex educator for over eight years. Her training includes over 80 hours of sex ed training courses, extensive reading and viewing curriculum, over 1000 hours of client counseling, and for over seven years she worked closely with women-run adult retailer Good Vibrations' Education Department to write and develop their training and outreach materials (GV's education staff trains a range of health care professionals including Planned Parenthood).
