Tickling boots are devices mentioned in some science fiction literature as punishment-torture devices employed by certain technologically advanced races. Tickling boots are designed to be placed on a victim's feet and magnetically sealed so the wearer is unable to remove them. At the whim of another person, the tickling boots may be "activated" which causes the wearer of the tickling boots to experience the sensation of being tickled on the soles of the feet.
The British science fiction show The Tomorrow People featured tickling boots in the episode "A Man for Emily". Tickling boots also appeared in several short story-plays on the Nickelodeon program Kids Writes.
While some modern day "tickling machines" do exist (such as the stocks), tickling boots have not yet been invented.
