The Gay Hanky Code is a colour code, used mainly in the Gay and Gay Leather Community, to indicate the activities one is interested in.

To signal one's interest to potential partners, a handkerchief or other piece of material of the corresponding colour is worn in the rear trouser pocket. The side one wears it on signals whether the wearer is interested in the activity as a top or as a bottom.
