- My thoughts were more along the lines that subservience is a conspicuous overt attitude, i.e. a stated willingness to defer to another person and comply with his/her wishes -- while "servitude" in a BDSM context is focused more on actually performing services, perhaps not so much on expressing a generalized anxious eagerness to please.
