Wipipedia.org talk:Image use policy

This is written assuming American copyright law. Wipipedia, being based in England, needs to conform to English copyright law. This is therefore seriously misleading.--Taxwoman 22:28, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I am somewhat aware of the differences and potential implications. (Though, in practice, Wikipedia is also having trouble, since it is "published" (i.e. hosted) in both Europe and Asia as well as USA and is subject to those laws as well, at least.) I had thought I would have time to edit it fully when I imported it but things have cropped up (hence my still being up at this hour). Perhaps we should move the entire page somewhere (like Image use policy/Temp?) until it is ready? Not only is the copyright issue of web sites tricky, the subject of 'decency' etc. is a minefield and something I am working on with a view to having a 'licence to use' page. --Interesdom 06:11, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
