There is an edit comment at nipple (mine) which asks for information on interference with lactation from piercing in the female nipple. Can you enlighten we who are not professionally qualified? My thought here is that the piercing hole, being internally scarred, will seal some milk ducts and when lactation begins will cause mastitis, etc. Or perhaps I'm missing something. Surely, by now, there's sufficient clinical experience to give an adequate answer.

SLB,

On a medical question:

There is an edit comment (mine) at nipple which asks for information on interference with lactation from piercing in the female nipple.

In addition, there's an issue of muscle damage in the nipple musculature. Is there a piercing technique which will minimize the damage (eg, start with small gauge jewelry, slowly enlarge over months to larger?)?

So you see, there are some actual questions peculiar to at least some part of your qualification. At least these aren't GP questions.
