London/UK bias is NOT policy

It may be that there is an emphasis on the UK in some areas (such as online dating sites and clubs) but that is only a reflection of the knowledge held by editors - and the Wipipedia is hosted and was started by people in London, England. We have a growing number of people from the USA and other countries and I hope this excellent resource will be filled out more to gain an even greater international flavour (do you know of any US-specific clubs and web resources?). The only policy I am aware of that is biased for the UK is that the norm for spelling is that of the UK (which closely resembles that of Canada and Australia); even here, like any other wiki, we're not too stringent and certainly would not reject any contribution just because of spelling! --Interesdom 18:21, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
