Colours

Most of this template is net to impossible to read as not enough contrast between your headers, and working links, with your background colour on your table. I suggest you consider changing the back ground colour for the template --Roguebfl (talk) 21:30, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

I agree. I copied this off another wiki and must admit that I don't know how to change the colours.--Ropeuser 06:54, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Ahh ok, I played around with them, the problem is the Link colors for the wiki can't be over written in away the still lest them function (working link, missing link, and visited link) So must be work with. BTW do you wanted it Floated left like that? --Roguebfl (talk) 08:43, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Useful?

I am still not sure about this, I think the job could be better done with a list. Is it really necessary to categorise every item of clothing into Fetish, bondage and vanilla? I think what would be more useful and easier to maintain would be a link to a list of clothing articles that people can just scroll down and select what they want. we can then include related articles such as care of latex and dress codes etc. Balzac 16:23, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

I think the point is the point is making the subtopic of clothing more navigable, and not having to copy the entire list every time it is expanded, onto every page, much like wikipedia:Template:BDSM
What I am suggesting is a link to the list not the list itself. If we added all the possible clothing articles to the template it is going to be quite big and unwieldy itself. Balzac 17:38, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
For that the best way is to make a clothing pages also a member of [[:Category:Clothes]], hence created an auto updating list. --Roguebfl (talk) 17:46, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
I was thinking of something more like Bondage positions and techniques which is more user friendly that just a category list. Balzac 18:03, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Headings

Using == Clothing == type headings in templates is a bad idea, as the edit link sends to to editing the template, not the page that you clicked on. --Roguebfl (talk) 16:51, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

That was the idea though, if the templete needs to be updated it provides a easy link to it. Balzac 17:38, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Reworking

The more I look at this the less I think it works, in particular trying to categorise everything between fetish, bondage, and vanilla does not work for me. Ballet boots for instance are not a bondage item, a hood could be classed as either and if an item of clothing is classed as vanilla, then it should not be here. I still think having a list article where we can list all the articles under headings would work better, we could then put a link on every clothing page to allow people to quick switch between articles. I'll start work on the list and if it looks OK then we can test it out. Are there any objections? Balzac 19:02, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

That works for me. Ropeuser 20:36, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Think leotards can be pretty vanilla... AnonMoos (talk) 13:41, 27 March 2013 (GMT)
