I don't think Wipipedia should keep redirecting people to Wikipedia as a resource:

# Wikipedia is beginning to fall into disfavour and some people are deliberately avoiding it now.

# Wikipedia help structure changes every now and then and we have no way to keep up with it.

# There are so many wikis around that it is no longer the case that if you want to edit here, you have already learnt some of the basics on Wikipedia - or want to.

We could redirect to pages at [http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page media wiki], where the content is probably more stable (and stale), with our own 'easy' versions here.  The only slight issue with that is that the Meta interwiki link seems to have dissapeared, so we can't do things like <nowiki>[[Meta:Help:Reader|Reader Help]]</nowiki> to get to http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Reader .

This page is so out of date it is ridiculous.

I don't think Wipipedia should keep redirecting people to Wikipedia as a resource:

  1. Wikipedia is beginning to fall into disfavour and some people are deliberately avoiding it now.
  2. Wikipedia help structure changes every now and then and we have no way to keep up with it.
  3. There are so many wikis around that it is no longer the case that if you want to edit here, you have already learnt some of the basics on Wikipedia - or want to.

We could redirect to pages at media wiki, where the content is probably more stable (and stale), with our own 'easy' versions here. The only slight issue with that is that the Meta interwiki link seems to have dissapeared, so we can't do things like [[Meta:Help:Reader|Reader Help]] to get to http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Reader .
